EPSSA Cross Country
Niddrie Mill took part in the EPSSA cross country event held at Inverleith Park on Monday, 21st March 2011. We were well represented by:
P6 Girls
Sharleen McEwan,
Beth Lawrie,
Emma Hastings,
Shelly Dobson.
P6 Boys
Jack Jenkinson,
Steven Lorimer,
Reece Turner,
Harry Gormley.
P7 Girls
Elle Beth Murray,
Rebecca Heron,
Caitlyn Grady.
P7 Boys
Cha Hamilton,
Brandon Hunter,
Liam Turner,
Michael Cooney,
Dylan Johnstone.
Despite some early nerves and butterflies in stomachs, the majority of the entrants completed the race - a great achievement given the distance and the huge number of entries - and Cha, one of our P7 boys, was placed in the first 30 in his race. Each and every one of them did themselves and the school proud - well done to them all.
Greater Craigmillar Junior Heritage Trail
They were shown around the castle by the Junior Tour Guides from Castleview Primary School and on Friday 11th March both schools will be participating in a chat on Glow about their shared experience today.
P6 Project
Primary 6 have been working on an 8 week project called Early Interventions with Davie and Alan from the Jack Kane Centre. We have explored issues including rules and laws, group work, communication, community, stereotypes, friendships and bullying and internet safety. For our penultimate session, we went to the Jack Kane Centre to find out about the clubs and activities on offer to the young people in Niddrie.
